Listen Here:
Today I talked to two veterinarian friends and business partners, Dr. Seth Bleakley and Dr. Brandon Prince, who met during their early careers and bonded over a common story in the vet industry – the inhumane treatment of veterinary professionals. Despite being highly educated and making a good salary, both doctors felt overworked, undervalued, and lacking fulfillment in their jobs.
This led to the creation of CARE Surgery Center, a clinic dedicated to providing better care not only for their patients but for their staff as well. Dr. Bleakley stresses the importance of setting boundaries and not trying to be everything to everyone. At CARE Surgery Center, they have implemented a strict surgery schedule that allows for ample time for surgeons to rest and have invested in their staff by providing scheduled training time and paying them more. These practices not only benefit their staff but also improve the quality of patient care.
The two doctors are on a mission to not only help animals but to also make a positive impact on the lives of veterinary professionals. They believe in creating a high-quality work atmosphere that encourages self-actualization, job satisfaction, and a healthy work-life balance. By unsubscribing to the old ways of practice, they hope to set an example for others in the industry and raise the standard of veterinary care.
Listen in for more on the story behind CARE Surgery Center and learn how Drs. Bleakley and Prince are leading the way in reinventing veterinary care.
